Attn Jens does the 04 tl have led tails?

i tried to look you up to pm or email you but i dont think its possible. so does the 04 tl have led tails? or is that a bunch of small wedge bulbs? info from any1 would be appreciated. If they do have leds i think i just found a new retro for my 1st gen. i know i could mount them into my 1st gen tails no prob. size looks perfect. bout time acura used xenon projectors at least.

No, they are led's You will neer see a company use that many bulbs, its just a pain in the ass for the consumer. Besides if you ask the sales guy to hit the brke for you, you will see how fast they turn on and off.

i've driven behind several '04's now .. and those lights come on pretty damn quick .. they HAVE to be LEDs ... they come on as quick as the Caddy DTS's LED's .. pretty sweet

LED's are simply an in-line circuit that emits light as the energy passes thru the circuit that has a minor "break" in the line .. that break emits light, and if you add up 100 of those.. you get a nice brake light!

An incandescent bulb, or any "element" bulb takes time to generate light b/c energy has to travel through a complete circuit (the coil element of the bulb) and it generates heat by conducting electricity through that complete circuit .. it takes a little time to get enough energy to build up that amount of light however..

someone will probably explain this better than i have

thanks guys. i have a new retro to do in the summer. i will have 04 tl leds in my 97 cl tails. i cant wait. my 97 is slowly turning into a new car. 1st bmw bi-xenons and now led tail. hell yeah

for those that are confused, LEDS light up a split second before regular bulbs do. this may not seem like much, but this split second means ALOT when someone in front of u slams on their brakes and u have that extra time to know that u must hit the brakes too before u smash into them.
