anyone use water wetter?

just got my case (12 quarts) of redline oil 5w-30. gonna change it right now. but while i'm under there i was thinking about draining some coolant to put water wetter. you need less than 50% coolant and more water for the thing to work better. what do you guys think?

I use it. I think our coolant is 50/50 from the factory. I siphoned the correct amount of coolant from the top. Easier then messing with the drain plug.

Wetter won't change the operating temperature of the thermostat/engine. It's suppose to help diminish hot spots in the engine. I think my transmission is smother in traffic and my oil comsumption has gone down. Maybe my car has just broken in more.

I run 1/3 coolant 2/3 water and 2 bottles of Water Wetter.

I will also run Water Wetter in my aftercooler. It's a product I beleive in.

Is 2 bottles redline's recommendations for your coolant capacity or just a little extra?

"By the book" works out to about a bottle and a half for my car, so I just use two.

O....i always just used with what the factory has in it and put in one bottle of waterwetter myself. Guess I'll go with the 2 bottle route on my 30k checkup

One should do the trick as well...most important thing is the regular coolant flush which you are doing.

It's amazing how flawless a modern engine can run, even when beat on a lot if meticulously maintained.

LOL, 55k miles on my poor V6 Accord, over 50 runs at the drag strip, 30 dyno runs, 2 auto-x's, countless street races, and reved to redline multiple times on a daily basis.

I just have it serviced religously.
