anyone try to paint their grill yet?
anyone try to paint their grill yet?
since my type S is black i wanted to match the front grill to my car, but i didnt want to strip the chrome of or anything just yet.. i was wondering if anyone has done the job yet, and any tips are welcome.
Painting is and option, but be sure whomever does the job matches the factory Acura Nighthawk Black paint (It has a lot of blue metallic). However, since it is a relatively small peice in an obscure location it should not be too big of an issue. I have considered powder coating the grill in a black mirror.......

I painted the chrome part inside the grill. I never liked the wing look. I was concerned with matching the paint to the rest of the grill.

Funny you should mention this. I just scraped the inside, cleaned the grease trap and scrubbed the grates. I also criso'ed the grates to "season" them. It prevents rust too.
Wait a minute...you weren't talking about the barbecue we you...
