Anyone installed the Hawker PC680 Battery in their car?

If you have can you can tell me any pro and con's you have experienced? For those who don't know the PC680 is a light weight battery for your car. It will roughly save about 25 lbs of weight off the front of the car. *Based on the stock battery weighing 40 lbs* Here's the URL for more info:

# 12 Volt
# 16 Ah @ 10hr rate
# 280 CCA
# 680 Cranking Amps for 5 Seconds
# 28 Minute Reserve Capacity
# Cycle life @ 77°F 400 at 100% DOD
# -40°F to 140°F Temperature Range

I wouldn't bother. This is a very small battery and if you see that the cold cranking amps (CCA) is only 280 this will be a very poor battery for anybody that lives in cold northern regions.

Most batteries have a CCA of at least 600+

And also the reserve capacity is only 28 minutes which is very short.

A couple cranks of your engine and if it does not start you will probably be stuck looking for a jump start.

Other than that it could very well save you some weight that give you quicker times at the track.

Thanks for the info. I may have to look at a higher capacity battery then.
