Navigation Help

I recently noticed a change in my navigation system and wanted to see if anyone knows how to change this setting or what caused it to change.

Previously on the map of the navigation screen, the position indicator would remain stationary while the map would rotate based upon the direction you were travelling.

Currently, the map now remains stationary always facing the North while the position indicator rotates based upon your location. This setup can be very difficult to use as when traveling south, you need to keep in mind that left and right are now reveresed.

If anyone know how to change this setting I would greatly appreciate your help.

I have a 2001 CL type S with software version 2.03 which has never been upgraded since purchase.

Thanks in Advance

Search probably would have turned up your answer but here it is to save you some time:

Just touch the arrow and it will toggle from always to North to up being your current direction and back.

Also know that when you zoom out (which means you can see more and more land area) the last few settings, you have no choice...North is up.

To that.

It'd be pretty funny to see half the US rotate when you make a turn.

Having the car orientation the way you want it only works if you are on the !/20th, 1/8th and 1/2 mile scales on the lower right. Any scale above that, north is always north.
