Anyone have a buzzing noise in their vents?
I've had my CL-S 6sp since August. I've had the usual rattles, that I've complained to the dealer about; the rear deck, the passenger door. Some they could fix, some they couldn't.
Recently, I've gotten a new noise. At first I noticed it when the car was stopped, and the clutch was pressed in. It would be a buzzing sound seemingly coming from the vent area on the passenger side of the dash. I've wiggled the vents, but that did nothing. Now I get the sound sometimes when moving and without the clutch pressed in. It has only happened in the last few weeks since I started to use the a/c, but I keep the climate control on automatic. It's more of a buzzing sound than a rattle.
Any ideas??
Thanks,
Joe

I have the same thing. To me, it sounds like either the fan motor or a vibration from one of the duct flaps. I had my dealer look at it last time I was in for service but it wouldn't make the noise (typical). I thnk it has to do with the A/C. It's not loud enough for me to worry about it but I'll have the dealer look at it again with my next free oil change.

i've heard it from my CLS 6 as well. A/C only as far as i know. right now its intermittent. i'm sure its the blower fan clearance. the impeller is contacting something when the fan is on.
you can check it by adjusting the fan speed next time you hear it. if then frequency of the buzzing increases with fan speed that's it.
i haven't taken it to get fixed yet. waiting for it to be obvious so i don't waste my time at the local acura dis-service department.
good luck.

Is that the official name for it? A "blower fan". I'm not too car savy, at least regarding repairing things, so I need to be able to use the proper terms. Saying the blower fan has an impellar (?) issue may get a better response than my vent is buzzing.
Thanks for the info!
