I'm getting an appointment for next week and just wanted to see if anyone had pics so I could get an Idea of the final result.

 

I have 35% Llumar (Stealth) tint all around on my 2002 TL-S. Llumar is one of the best tints on the market, just make sure you have a good installer that tints all the way to the top of the side windows. Some bad shops leave about 1/2 inch gap at the top and looks crappy. One the back window, my installer tinted up to the matrix dots. Some people have problems with the tint over the dots. On mine, he tinted right up to the dots and you cannot tell.

Depends on the installer. Even the most expensive tint will look like crap if its installed by any idiot.

I have 30% Llumar Titanium tint. Looks good on SSM I think. Has a slight silver tint compared to smoke. Its kinda hard to see in pictures though.

 

My ex-gf had Llumar Platinum tint on her Maxima and it looked great. Her's was a grey very similar to anthracite and it matched it well. Pics are in my sig link.

 

Thanks for the pics Mclaren, I'm getting 15% so it should look good. The tint that is on the back window now only goes up to the dots and looks like crap. So the guy said he was going to tint over that and the brake light. Should look awesome . Will post pics as soon as it happens next week. Thanks again guys.

I just got my tint in today too... 5% back 3 windows and 35% front windows. They didn't go over the 3rd brake light though... still looks great.

 

The installer might have trouble getting it over the black dots, a piece of vinyl will probably work better in the end.

 

That's all I ever used. 15% on all my cars. 30% on my Explorer.

Get the extra reflective ones too, they make a differnce in blocking out the heat.

 

Why would you guys put less tint in on the back windows? If your going to put 30 in the front why not do 30 or more in the back?

 

Higher the number = lighter

 

Oh, I thought it was like 100% would be totally not see through and 0% would be clear. I guess they do it the opposite of how it would make sense.

 

yeap, like at 5%, it means only 5% of light penetrates the tint

they are great, you get a lifetime warranty on them. they are available at a ton of tint shops so if you ever have a problem you can go to any tint shop in the nation to get it fixed.

 

I have as dark as you can get lumar tint on all my windows on my CL-S. It looks really good, i will have pics loaded on in like 3 days. Just make sure you don't get a careless tint applier......
