Anyone got DIY info on installing springs?
Anyone got DIY info on installing springs?
just found out I can rent a spring compressor for free at a local Kragen ( just have to slap a deposit, which i can get back).
a local streetshop is asking for 100 for the labor of spring install... was thinking i can save that by doing it myself... any suggestions? I have an SAE spec toolkit as well.
anyone do this? an easy job??

Believe me you dont want to do this install. can it be done by yourself? YES. but it is not worth it? NO. I have installed intake/headers/comptech mufflers/sways/spark plugs all with great success, and i have attempted to do the springs. I failed and i will never install springs again
100 bucks is a great deal considering most people pay between 200-300 for install. I got mine installed for 150 at a local shop. TRUST ME, save your time and invest the benjamin franklin for a shop to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah man 100 bucks is a good deal for spring install. That's what I charge people to ask me to do it, but I'm a private installer. From a shop that's a good deal. It's not worth the hassle and a standard tool set prob won't get the job done.
I've prob done CL/Accord suspension 6 times, not different from normal install, but annoying.

I did mine just because I like to know I'm the one who put all the parts on. It's not real complex. Little bit of work though. I would only do it for $100 for someone else if I really liked them.
100 Bucks for spring install?! Even though I did mine for 100. would've gladly payed someone else to do however I changed out to Koni Yellows and had to pull rear seat to adjust shocks which would run you higher of course! Good luck!

BoneHead! I said in my post that I did mine for 100?! Dooh! I did my own suspension for my time only plus did sways too at same time. Its true when you do the work yourself you have the feeling that its been done right and don't want anyone else messing with your car!
