Why do you want to drop the pan?

You'll want to replace the pan gasket but you should be able to reuse the bolts.

i didn't notice any gasket available from acura, looks like they use that silicone stuff...

...my oil bolt seized and stripped the threads...

...and with my luck, i always buy new bolts, because the old ones are usually rusted to hell.

No gasket, just silicone. And make sure you give it a while to dry before starting it up.

I dropped it. Always use Hondabond for the gasket. I bought it from the dealership. Reused the old bolts. Wasn't too bad, I believe you have to take off the J pipe when doing this if I recall correctly. Gave it a full day to dry before I poured oil in it.

The other trick to it is to not tighten it up fully. Let it cure and then do your final torque. That way the silicone gets a bit compressed for sealing.
