Beside owning a CL-S, I also own a 6cyl. Passat, which is why I can refer you to www.vwvortex.com. Click on forums, then click on "Volkswagen" under the list of forums, then click on B5 (which is the 5th generation Passat). They have a few posts from people who have drive the Passat W8 (W8 is the configuration for having two VR6-type engines together. VR6's are the narrow 6-cyl engine that comes in the Jetta rather than the new Passat which has a wide-stance 6-cyl, 2.8L, 30 valve engine). The reviews are very positive. But read them and decide for yourself.

By the way the W8 is two 4 cyl. engine married together. The VR6 is used on the W12 which is seen in the concept car that cost about $225,000.

Yes, you are correct, but I did not mean that the W8 actually had two 6 cyl engines. I meant that it had two VR6-"type" engines, which are the narrow angle engines used in the Jetta. I wasn't very clear about that.
