Well, if read my post from a few days ago i was having some transmission problem. After spending a few hours at the Acura dealer this afternoon, they came to the conclusion that my tranny is toast!! Gee, i kinda already new that but oh well, i guess it took them sometime to figure that out... So they have ordered a new transmission and should be in by the end of the week..will see on that..Just thought i would let everyone know how i made out at the dealer.

sup wit da trannies? I have a mechanic friend who told me a while back that acura trannys are a little iffy. Anybody else hear anything similar?

One thing that sucks is they give you a refirbished tranny, and not a new one. This was the case with my GS-R.

I was just wondering, are you ever gonna upgrade your suspension? with all those mods and no springs or sway bars, I am surprised you can even keep that puppy on the road.

My neighbor just bought a TL-S a couple of months ago. The idiot light came on within the first day or two. Long story short, wound up getting a new tranny. What a way to blow the whole new car experience.

Most of the members know, but my 1998 Accord coupe EX-V6 tranny died at 78K miles ! Thank god, I ONLY brought my car to the same dealership for 2.5 years and they (Honda) paid for it "Out of warranty" ! Why, because of my history with that dealership. Point is, stay with a dealership, build a relationship and they will cover your ass. Please note " I baby my cars" and the sucker went south anyway, so YES, HONDA/ACURA trannies are VERY questionable !
