Post Another intake thread, but not "which one is better. Pleae read

I'm going to buy an intake as my first mod since it is cheaper then headers. I am looking at two on ebay...an ebay clone and the aem.

I would prefer the ebay clone with a K&N filter, but it says for use without fog lights in the description...not sure if it is only talking about the TL or what?

HAS ANYONE USED THIS INTAKE WITH FOGLIGHTS?

Also looking at this AEM intake which I can get for $125 shipped! However, it says that it only fits an 03 M/T CL. I thought that 01-03 CL intakes fit all. What would I need to do to fit a 03 M/T intake on a 02 A/T CL-S?

I have the off brand CAI with fog light inserts, so it's probably the same.

Fogs or not doesn't matter. No bearing on what fits. No idea why it's even listed that way.
The intake tube is longer for the 6mt because there is no VSA. You can make it fit by cutting the tube to fit.

yea...im gonna be dissapointed if the offbrand doesn't fit.

Would you guys recommend spending the extra money on the aem with the aem filter or go with the offbrand paired with a K&N?

I am very satisfied with the off brand I have, even came from the same seller. It fits with no modification and works great.

AEM Intake

I bought an AEM intake from the black market back a few months and love it. Its red in color with the AEM filter. When I first start the car in the morning it has a noticable hiss from the intake. It gets very faint after a minute or two. Not a huge power increase but you can definitly feel the engine breathing better. A little over a month ago I installed XS power headers and together I think they make a great sounding combo. The car breathes much better than stock. I would recommend this setup for daily driving. Overall I have a 5 MPG increase in the city.

well down over here in CA, they sell this blox velocity stack with the filter for 60 dollars. all i did was take the box out and use the stock tube to fit the 3 inch intake it pretty easy and great for a short ram. i feel the difference when i drive it.
