Ambient lighting = HVAC lights.

Lights that are on when your headlight switch is in the on position. Speaking of interior of course.

I would consider the lighting under your dash to be "ambient" lighting.

Curious...which ones did you use for that?

Or he may mean what Honda calls "Ambient Lighting" - a dull amber led that is in the Homelink and shines on the dash at night.

That is what ambient lights are for.I've seen it somewhere that in was along the roof rails with a strip covering it releasing the light up not into your vision.and getting controled by a dimmer switch.Thats a awesome interior mod.Now that this is brought up I might give it a try.

The 4th gen TL's have 2 led's in the homelink/roof liner area that dimly illuminate the console, I plan to drill a few into my headliner at some point

It looks good......MrFluffy has them in the pics he posted of his LED conversion. Just some nice subtle lighting in the foot wells at night.

I wouldn't mind a homelink style LED, I also want footwell LEDs....

once i get done with the exterior, i'll tackle the interior.
