As for how much...I got word from the manufacturer that it will be a little more expensive than he anticipated...but not too much. He says the prices for the CL sills engraved is $55, and $40 blank. That is still an estimate...we're not going to know until they have 1 set done. But that is the estimate. That is up a bit from the last one...but the TL sills went up too...it's not just you guys. Even so that's pretty darn cheap for a set of sills.
There won't be any progress on the backlighting idea, per se. I actually wrote about this a few times in this thread...you may want to go look. But to summarize, they don't do anything like that, they're a metal company. But you do have two choices. Either 1) they can cut the logo/engraving out, or they can edge it (hole around the edge) and then you can place a neon strip underneath, or even a string of LEDs. That shouldn't cost you more than $15 to do, and should be an easy mod. 2) they can send you a totally blank sill...for a cheaper price than an engraved one, and you can do what you will with it. Cut your own logos out, whatever. But do realize that it won't be cheaper for you to get a blank and then engrave it with the same thing the others come with...if it was I would've sent the manufacturer to that engraver already. So my suggestion...unless you know you're going to do this...just get the standard sill. If you know you're just gonna do the light, get it cut out. And if you know you're gonna go totally custom and want a clean slate...order a blank.
And I'll bust my ass on this to try and get sets to everyone by April 20. That sounds feasible. I'll make sure to hound the manufacturer though (I do already ) more than I have been. And hopefully you'll have em.

I like the Type S logo you have austin, but I think that would be to plain if that was the only thing on there.
How about you have ACURA in the standered font for the CL-P guys and the for the Type S guys you add that Type S logo you have to the ACURA on the same sill???

Hey Guys Lets keep this as simple as possible. I've been following this sinse its inception and everyone is being Either too demanding or too selfish! We all have Acuras, (Right) so if you have a Type S Get Type-S on the sill otherwise it should say ACURA. There are enough people interested to get a good price on both.

I've been following this thread pretty easily, though I guess it would be too difficult to follow from the beginning. I think a lot of people just want the sills and don't want to clutter this thread any further by saying "I want...I want...I want..."
I'm just glad to be getting sills, but my vote would be for
Acura CL Type S(logo)
If you frequent O.T., you know there are a bunch of Photoshop experts on here. Why hasn't someone created a separate thread/poll that's unofficial so Austin doesn't have to check out and answer other than just to see the results? It would contain picture(s) of all the categories/options outlined by Nabster or NOLACLS....
Anyway, great job on pulling this together Austin; I remember when you promised not to leave out the CLers when you first got started over in the ATL. I'm glad we're ahead. :P April 20th? That would be a small miracle.
I'm interested in the cutout, too but I guess I'll have to wait for those who get them to comment on them. These sills are not that expensive; an extra set (perhaps for my next CL) is not out of the question.

I didn't mean don't start other threads...hell start all you want . I just can't answer them all. It looks like a non-oem part...like something you bought aand had engraved at the mall...you don't want that. So maybe that'll simplify things down. Also the Type S logo alone won't do justice on a 16-18" sill as was aptly pointed out after I posted it. They're right about that.

There's a Chicago meet on the 20th that many want to have these for, so I am trying to get the manufacturer to finish before then...but I'm not sure. That's about it and it's the last one you get!
