i don't claim to know the whole story, but i would assume one of the following is true ~

1. the RES doesn't work like it was supposed to.

2. whoever designed the thing and has the schematics is a selfish asshole.

this is just speculation on my part.

Even if it turned out to be too costly to produce; why not sell or license the design for a small amount?? $1000 is more than sitting on it and making $0.

Just IMO, it was not consistant enough in making power there was no way to really sell it.

Nope, I made what I thought would have been a copy but it turned out to do nothing on the dyno. So I don't know what the actual unit did underneath its domed top.

MADD props for having the balls give it a try!

I hope we can get the ball rolling on this... Instead of this thread just dying away until around 2005 when someone will reply to it and give everyone a heart attack!@!

Thats right, thanks for the pics scalbert. MM2 didn't really provide much in terms of gains...so it was dropped.

Look on the bright side guys. Another 8 more years and the parents will expire, then we can steel the design .

Ah...I do not believe anyone was awarded a Patent on RES. Otherwise, the design would a public knowledge. You would see schematics and all info.

Also, there is a guy ont this board who claims he test dynoed the RES. Who is this guy? what does he know about RES? Did he saw the RES itself while being installed?

I think by reducing the volume of the center chamber the resonance frequence would be raised higher in fact helping to achieve high-rpms gains.

Yea he's my boy. Would never lie or exagerate any of the results. He told me that the power is there. He had his CLS dynoed with it on and showed me the dyno chart, something like 15WHP.

I'll hit him up and see if he wants to talk about this.

There is a problem with this idea; based on the dyno shown there were gains throughout the rev band. It provided noticeable low end torque gains.

Sry been busy, but that day that I said that I would talk to him, I tried, instead all I could do was PM him the link.

I guess he is busy as well but I'll see if I can get him on the Nextel tomm, right now it is too late.
