AEM pulleys installed
AEM pulleys installed
I had AEM silver pulleys installed on my car on Wednesday. After driving about 30 city miles I concluded that there is more power off the line (spin 'em harder!) and there also seems to be a little better throttle response when cruising, plus they look sharp. I had them installed at Superior Racing Development in Tempe, AZ. I would recommend them to Zonies because they have a sweet facility and excellent technicians, plus they give forum members 10% off. Anyway, seems to be a solid bang for the buck mod!
I paid $108 for the install and I bought the pulleys from autocarparts.com, although you could also buy them from SRD. The install price may seem a little high, but I couldn't find any shops that were as competent or cheaper. They are located in an industrial area south off of Rio Salado, between Price and McClintock. You can call them at 480-317-0090, make sure you tell them that you're a forum member.
Hey WtypeS, I'd say welcome to the board but then I saw you've been registered since Feb! Where’ve been hanging out for so long?? Damn, I'm in Mesa too. Haven't seen many CLs here but I'll keep an eye out for you... Yeah SRD, a couple other members have gone there and have been happy with their work. I'm sure I'll be visiting them for something in the future. Good to hear another positive comment about pulleys since those will be next on my list of goodies after sways. You’ve probably got a lot of knowledge to share with those mods you've got so try to start working on bumping up that post count bro!

The pulleys will not void your engine or drivetrain warranty though.

No. The pulleys will only void your alternator and power steering warranty if they were installed incorrectly which can cause the bearings to go out if the nuts are over torqued when they put the pulleys on.
