AEM Bypass broke in half... best replacement?

I noticed today my AEM bypass valve was broken in half... so I put a piece of rubber tubing in its place for now.

I would like to get a replacement... perhaps something with a metal frame instead of plastic.

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes something like that, or just a better bypass valve?

And yes, I wanna get a new one no matter how much horsepower it robs from me... it's a peace of mind thing for me.

Mine broke too...I called AEM and told them. They sent me a new one and had me send back the old one. took about 4 days to get the new one...but i also ordered the AEM 3" silicone hose to cover where the Bypass valve went.

Thanks Aaron, but it's taken care of.

I will continue to buy AEM products in the future because of the wonderful customer service experience I just had.

They recommended that in our cars, only installing the bypass during the rainy season since there is apparently a good number of failures.

He was even pushing the fact that the bypass robs power and if I want maximum performance, I should take it out when it isn't necessary. It was kinda funny.

I think I'll just leave my Home Depot pluming coupler delight in there for the time being.

Anybody know where I can find 2.75" hose to replace my CL-P AEM bypass valve? I checked Home Depot and they had 3" but not the 2.75". I didn't see anything on AEM's website either.

Sounds like the best option. That was the main reason i didn't install it in the first place (the power robbing). Besides, I rarely ever drive that car in the rain, unless people from Austin come to visit for a lunch time beer.

I was just at Home Depot to purchase a coupler myself but they don't stock the correct diameter. What size did u buy? The 3" doesn't fit...it's way too big. 2" is too small..and they don't carry anything in between.

Hey Bro, off topic but your mailbox is full. Did you book your hotel in Medford yet. Let me know, thanks.

I got a 3" coupler. It seemed too large when I first put it on, but I just kept screwing down the clamps until they were tight. It has a little bulge in the middle, but it works for now.

It looked like this...

Yeah, that's what I bought. I wasn't happy w/ the poor fit and took it back. I'm gonna check out a plumbing shop and see if they make a 2.5 or 2.75" coupler.

AEM does make a silicone coupler that is just like the one that goes from the intake to the manifold.... you could order that if you can wait a couple of days to get it.
