aight this kid wants to race me wit his brand new 02 solara, its a 4 banger auto too but he got the ivvti...me i got the 1st gen cl 2.2 auto wit simple mods like intake n ngk platinum spark plugs..if we race on from a light who would win..i want to noe wat u guys/gurls think.....thanx

 

I'd say u would. The camry solara has a lathargic tranny.

Well let me tell you from a Ex-Camry owner point of view.... It's pretty much like a Camry LE race a 97 Accord EX..... and I can tell you one thing FOR SURE.... the 2.2 motor have some torque off lowend, but once in highend, it will run out of juice.... and Accord will suck launching, but once after 4K rpm, you will pull back from behind.... I 100% gurantee that you will win.... According to the book, Accord EX run 9.5 0-60.... and Camry run 10.8 0-60.... I dont see why you will loose to a 132hps 3300lbs car while you have 145hps and 3100lbs car.... At least I got spank by an Accord Auto EX when i had my LE.

 

My bad, Solara only have 125hps

the solara that im racing has 157 hp ..his sheit is heavier so i hav a chance ..i got only 145 hp
