92-96 prelude si....
i was on my way up to see my friend at walgreens and i was sitting at at a stop light on sherwood forest(likE ANY OF U WOULD KNOW WERE THAT IS AT!) but anyway im just chillin and this 92-96 prelude si with red honda emblems and the old si emblem pulls up next to me and im praying that he wants to go. i look away to check the light and look back at the prelude and the driver is laughing at me,so now i really want to smoke his ass!! he motioned to go and i nodded, the light turns and we both hit it, i pulled him out of first by 3 links and the end of second i had him by about 5 links, so i let off slow down to 40 mph and the speed llimit is 45 and he stayed about 3 cars back. Get to the next intersection and he gets behind me! light turnes and he turned ! i luv racing people that under estimate our cars!

The Venom400 performance control module is an add on control unit that features it's own micro-controller. This module is connected to the throttle position sensor and the Manifold absolute pressure sensor, and by monitoring the sensors output characteristics and modifying the input signal to the vehicles existing ECU

ur right about the control module the only weakness is gas mileage it pours hella gas
my car is an auto that is why i got the vneom 400 it pushes the rms all the way to redline and downshifts twice as fast as without it when it is off there is no comparison when acctivated it shifts fast and extremely hard almost no lag from first to second and when it shifts into third the rpms jump like i was power shifting a manual

However, after I swapped in the 5-spd Integra motor, I have installed another Venom 400 module (B18C R version) on the engine. I don't know if it is because of my modded ECU or the fact that it is a 5-spd, but to my disappointment, the module did not make a whole lot of difference.

Thanks lowboy/hondan53 for the info. I've seen this product before, but didn't really pay much attention to it (thought they wouldn't make it for my car). So this VENOM400 is like a ECU? What if i plan on using this with the Apexi Vtec controller? Also, it's just a plug in unit and no need tuning?

Again, like what Lowboy said, the Venom 400 Module is a plug in unit, by modifing the signals the ECU get from the Throttle Position Sensor and the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. Venom 400 "tricks" the ECU to output more fuel into the engine, when more fuel is dumped into the block, the intake will automatically take in more air, in order to maintain the average 14:1 air to fuel ratio, thus making more power to the wheels.
You may use Venom 400 with a VTEC controller, I believe it does not conflict with VTEC. I am running Venom 400 with both the VAFC and a remapped ECU. It seems everything works fine.

it all depends on how u drive ur car! u keep ur foot in anything ull get bad gass mileage i mean one time isnt gonna drop a 1/4 tank gas honestly i get about the same as i always had i think the reason i run rich is for one the venom 400 and i had a bad o2 sensor for about 6 months and whe nthat happens ur car goes into a safe mode and ur car runs rich so u wont break anything else but it stayed burned into my ECU to run rich for awhile it is just know that my gas mileage is back to normal. IT IS ALWAYS SAFER TO RUN RICH INSTEAD OF LEAN U WONT HARM ANYTHING BUT UR POCKET FOR GAS! INSTEAD OF RUNNING LEAN AND BURN UP A PISTON !

I am not sure about this, but I think the Venom 400 is only activated when a hard acceleration is detected, otherwise it remain in standby mode. When the LED lights up, that is when Venom 400 is active (It only lights up when the throttle plate opens fully, throttle position sensor signal in use). I did notice decrease in gas milage, but then again, that could be a combination of all of the mods I have on the car too. (I currently get approximately 20 mph under normal driving conditions in my civic)

I can't wait to slap the VENOM400 on my car. Did some research about it and the reviews were mostly good. Some buyers said it didn't work due to the fact that they have a stick instead of an auto. I guess this would be a pretty decent investment.

When you connect the venom 400 does it just plug in or do you have to cut wires.........in my last car i bought a S-AFC and i just split the wires to the ECU, my f-ing roomates misshifted my car and blew my engine, so i took out the ECU and took it to the dealer. Unfortunately they could tell that i had tampered with my ECU and wouldnt cover my warranty. I wouldn't mind having the venom 400 so long as it is easy to remove with out ever detecting that it was there.

u dont have to splice anything comes with connectors.plugs into ur ecu throttle body and intake manifold its might be kind of hard to get to the one on ur intake manifold (at least mine was ) should come with everything u need

I hare to say it, but I don't believe you. My friend has an si prelue, and it is only rated at about 160hp with about as much torque and no vtec. He romped all over my ass, then he proceeded to beat my friend in a gsr that runws high forteens. Granted he has a cold air intake and the car is slammed. He shit tossed me. And I noticed in your sig that you basically have just an intake and exhaust as far as performance goes. Even if you add in the Venom it still puts you only a little bit ahead. And his car weighs much less than the CL. Sorry for this but I guess I am raising the BS flag, although I don't understand why you would make it up. Maybe the guy didn't know how to drive his car. I guess it could have happened, just very doubtful.

okay a prelude doesnt run high 14's with a intake i dont care if u drop it out of a airplane! yeah i have intake exhaust i also have a throttle body spacer which is the second biggest power adder on my car ! it helped more than the intake and exhaust combined ! and the venom transformed my car ! I RACED A NEW GEN PRELUDE FROM A ROLL AND PULLED HIM BY A CAR FROM 45 TO ABOUT 65 !

another thing preludes si are vtec they are the h23 dohc 195hp vtec motor and the h22 is a better motor there is no honda made that is an si that doesnt have vtec the 92-96 ludes with just the dohc had 160 but not the si AND A 2.3 HAS 150 STOCK
