6 speed

I have a 2003 acura tl-s and was thinking about doing a 6speed swap with the cl transmission. I was wondering how is the transmission on the cl because i know the tl trans had a recall on it. Plus do anyone know where i could find one?

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELP!

Unless you have a crap load of $$ & time. Trade your car for a 6mt TL.
But the cl 6mt seems to be problem free. A few clutch problems as of yet to be determined fault. & I mean like 3.

Kris ( fsttyms1 ) has said it cost about $5.5K to covert and that it was easy... He's VERY good with a wrench, so it might be easy for him, but it's definitely not a swap for everyone... If you don't DIY, the swap could easily cost upwards of 20K for a shop to do it IMHO... Kris had to do alot of troubleshooting (with multiple trips to the dealer) to get everythign to work correctly. Lots of time, but @ 65-95 dollars an hour, that adds up quickly.

Agree. If you or you have a friend thats good with t a wrench do most the work yourself. Other wise it will cost alot (most likely double) in just labor.

I used this to find alot of the parts.
