45K and TSB 01017 brakes
Got my 45K maintaince (car has 51K) done Thursday/Friday. Quote was $215.00, Actual was $259.20? Their schedule called for Tranny fluid (but they had changed that at 30K). Under warranty they replaced:
1) drivers side door "auto down window switch" (the same one
they replaced at 30K).
2) seat back seperation problem, new clips.
3) drivers side door handle (chrome seperating, ouch).
4) redid something with the drivers side seat belt "Clean the
Guide Ring", from Acura ServiceNews May 1991..
5) Resurfaced Front Rotors (pulse felt under braking).
My concern is that they did not replace the front brake pads. Service manager said that not all cars were covered by the service bullitin (when I mentioned that there was one for the front rotor warp problem). And that rotor warp was normally caused by things other than pads (like wheel nuts bing too tight, hitting water with "hot rotors", etc.). My car ser. #09506. DOM 05/2000. Does anybody have the Applies to information on TSB 01017? tks..
Aside from the pads issue, and little higher that quote, a pretty good experience. Loaner was an RSX (not type-S).

emial works, or post (others may be interested also?). As to the warranty work on the "auto down drivers side window", still fails. Yesterday morning I parked the car pointing south (so morning sun would be on the drivers side door) from 7:30 to 9:30 (with a temp of app. 77), fails! Also, on the seat belt retraction there doesn't seem to be much of a differance at all. I'll see if I can detect anything that would prevent the a slightly twisted belt from causing too much resistance for the "week" retraction system to work.
A review of the charges shows that they replace my air cleaner, which they replaced at 30K. I'll give them a week of so to clear things up, then it's major write-up to Acura Customer Service.
