nah, not there yet. But i have been in a 9 second F-Body that was only making about 530 to the wheels, all motor, heads and cams. I know for now i will be doing some mild cams, long tube headers, cat back, cutout, lid, ram air, and ls1 edit tune. That should net me about 390 to the wheels, maybe 400. That with a High Stall Converter and a shift kit will put me nicely into the high 10's low 11's range. I have seen cam only cars run high 9's on slicks, but those are some wild ass cams, the car seems like its gonna shut off. With my mods and a 100 shot, i could easily be in the 9's. But i want a daily driver with a near stock idle. Plus i am notn financially ready for suspension, sub fram connectors and all the stuff that comes along with a sub 11 second car. especially the 2 grand 12 bolt rear ends.

You mocking me?! I think I did pretty well for not having an engineering degree.
It was hard putting it all together, but the hardest part of the whole thing was digging that pit with a hand shovel.

Actually I was curious what the signals were run to. That is my daily activity; to oversee the implementation of test, measurement and data acquisition systems for the industrial market.

I enjoy home projects quite a bit.

I hear ya... auto LS1s f-in RUN! Although they are quick from a stop, they are turds from the get go. I raced a T/A that ran 10.6s, my best was a 10.7, and I put um about 10-12 cars on him from a 40 punch to about 140... My car has a stick with a crappy tranny, so I can't shift very fast. If I had an Auto I would be running solid mid 8s with the bottle... but I don't want an auto in a car I drive around town... just no fun.

Yeah, getting the car to kick down is a bitch. But i ran a camaro with an SLP Lid like me and a trans go shift kit and he fucking destroyed me from a roll, but i hung off the like at has rear bumper. With a shift kit the down shift threshold is raised. The car will down shift at a higher rpm, and it will also shift firmer, quicker and do a 3-1, 4-2, 4-1 skip shift.

Yea tranny kits help a ton, but te one I raced had a built turbo 350. It was barking the E/T Streets he had on it on the 1-2 shift...

I break my ass sideways on the 1-2 shift and 3/4 throttle, that is on brand new tires.
