many people have 235/45/17's on stock rims (Toyo Proxes T1S)

as long as the tire is good for the rim width, u should b ok...if yer stock suspension, i don't see rubbing in yer future

I'm running that size Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on 03 CL-S wheels. It's the closest to stock and is a great setup. It also give you more rim protection.

I have Yoko AVS ES-100 on mine in that size and I like! I do pick up a lot more vibration from the road through the steering wheel. See my response to this post:

I was looking at upping the width just a tad, from our 215/50's, and this combination seemed to keep the overall diameter just about the same. When I did the math, I only showed it lowering the car 1.75mm, which was the closest I think you can get, to stock height, and still widen the tires. However, the problem I did see with this size, (at least the two tires I was looking at) was that the rim width range said 7.5-9.0 and I know our stock rims are only 7.0. Does anyone know if this is a big deal or not? It seems quite a few people have gone with this size. The tires were Dunlop SP Sport 5000, and Sumitomo HTR+.
