2003 taillights question
I've been procrastinating to buy the 03' tails for my 02' but Im ready. I was wondering what bulbs do you guys use for the turning???? I know it's the same as the front but I want a bulb that is bright white. I've seen Bimmers with these extra-bright white bulbs is it possibly they run higher wattage bulbs? Anyways even if you guys don't know what the hell Im babbaling about can u point me to the right direction to where I can get these tails. I know the TL forum has them for $350 something anything cheaper than that?

Pretty hard to find for less as there aren't a whole lot up for sale. As for the bulbs they are 1157 bulb with the new harness which I'd recommend ordering for ~$20.
I'm currently running Polarg G series amber bulbs and their pretty bright and less amber is exposed when off. I didn't want the silvered out bulbs on the back because they don’t seem as bright to me, more for looks tho so I like them up front.
Here is a pic of the Polargs:

Nate: I have the '03 taillights as well, I ended up getting the new harness and used the stock bulbs. The only problem is that I dont like how the amber lights are exposed during the day. Do you have any pics of how your polargs's look when they are not on? Thanx.......... And do the polargs's also fit with the harness?

Ohhhh I seeee. I went outside and looked at my ride and saw that the factory bulbs show amber in the housing. While the bulbs in ur pic show no amber at all. That I LIKE , that I want.

you need a new harness because the regular bulbs dont fit into the housing. Witha new harness (that snaps into place), the bulbs will have no problem fitting correctly into the slot. I think autocarparts.com has the tails with the harness.........

About the Brightness
When u mention that the APC Titaniums are not as bright. They are not as bright as stock? In other words the headlights overpower the turn signals?
So the only ways to fix the lower brightness of the turn signals is to either purchase different bulbs, or to get the Titaniums in a higher wattage.
Can u recomend any other bulbs that are Silver/Titanium that will blend in perfectly with the HIDs?

Guys, I'll see if I can do a side by side later in the day... since I made the comment that Polargs are brighter I believe lou is on to it though about the darker color of the APCs...
