Hello,

I recently traded in my 2001 CL Type-S for a 2003 CL Type-S 6-speed. I don't like what Acura did with the front grill and door handles. They used to be chrome, but now they're painted. I was considering changing them out for chrome ones. Any idea how much work this would involve? Or if these parts are available in chrome for 2003?

if your car is black, ill trade you my chrome front grill for your black front grill

 

changing the front grill is very simple, you just unscrew it...the door handles im not too sure about.

 

The only hard part would be that you'd have to wear a mask to disguise yourself after ADDING chrome to the sweet CLS.

My 2003 CL is anthracite... judging from the responses so far, there seems to be a chromeless movement afoot. Maybe I'll get used to the painted parts. I was just suprised of the difference between my old 2001 and new 2003.

Keep the painted.. it looks much more sporty that way than the crome..

I'd love to check out your Anthracite 6spd.. ever think about coming out to the next Bay Area meet?

I think its on the 8th in Fremont as soon as the rest of the Bay Area dudes make up their minds

look at it this way... anthracite w/ chrome grill = quite a Rare CL-S

Yeah I like my chrome trim too. Stands out and matches my rims!

Strange how Acura only put the chrome grill on the Satin Silver '03's and not any other color....

 

The chrome door handles and grill look awesome to me on my black CL.
