2003 CL/S-6 speed Tint problem

I bought a Aegean Blue last month and got 2000 miles on it.

I wanted to have it tinted with light blue last week. But the tinting guy told me I need to disassemble the center brake light or they need to cut the tint film and make the brake light visible.

Does anybody know if I can tint the rear without disassemble the brake light or expose the brake light?

Thank you!

if you want tint behind that light, you gotta take out the entire back seat of the car including the center console, seat bottoms, seat backs, rear parcel shelf, etc...it takes a good 1/2 hour or more the first time you do it, its a pain in the ass, but the tint behind the light is worth it...and why in gods name would you want BLUE tint???

Mine is Aegean Blue and I saw a same car with light blue tint is really cool. Any other suggestions on color, like titanium grey or limo??

Yes, you need to remove the rear seats and rear parcel shelf if you want a clean FULL rear window tint job.

Check out THIS thread.
On page TWO I have instructions and scans from the HELM manual on how to do it.

PS……For the love of God, don’t do BLUE tint. :thumbsdn: :thumbsdn:

I would have to agree with this... it will look ghey :ghey: !

BTW Shawn, thanks for those instructions, I got a real clean job done without cutting around the light because of those

Not always. My tint guy did mine without removing the shelf. Looks great.

If it was a luxury car like a mercedes or something, it isn't really a blue tint you are seeing...rather, it is the glass that is blue, which in turn gives a more "pure" white light.
