2002 brochures out
2002 brochures out
I got a call from a dealer today here in the ATL and he said that they received the brochures for the 2002 today. He said that there were no cosmetic changes, no new colors, and NO 6-SPEED!!!
Looks like the rumors are true that if when and when it comes, it won't be until the Spring.

Yup.. looks like the 6-speed will come out the same time that Comptech will release the SC for the CL,TL, accord.. however I am merely stating this no because they are correlated but merely coincidental
The six speed can still come. The manuals were probably prepared and printed awhile back (May?) and if it wasn't 100% decided them, it would not be printed up. Another reprint (edition) update is likely. Remember the first B&W 2001 CL brochures? Then came the colour ones....

Ken is right. The brochures were probably prepared months ago. I don't believe what the dealers say anyway. And I don't believe all the rumors that are going around. The only way to keep sane is not to believe it and enjoy the car that you own now. If they do make changes to the car (6spd, tailights, etc.) just hope by that time leases are up and loans are paidoff.
Think about this:
The 2001 brochure doesn’t have a BLUE CL-S so why should the 2002 brochure show a 6-Speed.
Spring works best for me anyway.
I don’t want to buy a new car in November and have the white SHIT falling from the sky the very next week.
And I should have mine paid off by then. (or have plenty of names for the RAFFLE
)

hmm... thats strange...
Acura's DM confirmed that there was a new color... "Noble Green" that would be replacing the current "Ugly Ass MoFn Green"
I wouldnt rely on the salesmans words till you see for yourself.
And yes, there WILL be a 6-spd and it WILL be here this spring.
Probably right around the time the CL was released last year.

I never thought they would do ANY cosmetic changes to the car. In following Honda's pattern and many other car manufacturer's for that matter, there will not be cosmetic changes until 2003. This car is the first year model. Although it was released earlier than usual, it is still a 2001. It is an ENTIRELY NEW BODY STYLE for 2001!! In 2002 why would they come out with any changes? Not worth the effort or money. Now, a 6-speed is a "possibility" and I stress "possibility," but body or light changes? NO WAY!

You are correct, there is a "new" green. He did make mention of it. I meant to say, no new colors except for a different shade of green. I was hoping for a pearl white or brighter blue color.
