So my car is currently at the dealer having some warranty work done and I received a 2015 ILX as my rental for the time being. I was messing around with the display in the car and noticed that the color for the menu can be changed. DO the 2016 models have this option? I had seen in one of the brochures that the MDX has this option to change to red, but I was wondering if the ILX has the same capability. I can't check for obvious reasons but does anyone know if this is possible?

 

yea I think there is 4 color options, green blue yellow or red

The salesperson at the dealer said that it did not change colors so I just assumed it wasn't possible. Just looked at the manual online and it is definitely possible. Awesome...now the menu will match the A-Spec gauges lol

 

And that should be a red flag to never go to your dealer for any questions or issues unless it is to get warranty work done. Chances are if they didnt know something simple like that they dont know a whole lot.

My sales rep sat down with me for 30 minutes showing me everything the ILX could do before I drove away. It was even after hours as I stayed later negotiating a deal for the extra factory installs I wanted.

I guess not all sales reps are created equal.

 

Correct, I change mine occasionally. The yellow is more of a sepia-tone...sort of like an orange-yellow. Definitely my least favorite.

I usually toggle between the blue and red...currently on blue.
