1/4 Mile on 15" Rims

Has anyone ever tried? I have a pair of 9lb RacingHart CP0-35s that was left over from my Prelude.

I would be willing to sell the rims too.

BTW I just picked up my 2003 TL Type S on Saturday.

Just a little bit of my racing history:

98 Prelude SS (Auto)
15.3 All Motor
13.9 with a 50 Shot of NOS

Can you weigh the rims with tires on?

I need to know the:
- Rim width. (6", 6.5", 7" etc)
- Rim Offset. (+42, +45 etc...)
- Tire Size (215/55's, 205/60's, etc if they come with tires)
- How much?

My 17x7.5" CP-035's with 225/45's weigh 39lbs a piece. My stock 15" rim were 43lbs a piece. Unfortunately I lost a bit of torque on the dyno because all of my weight is near the outside edge of the wheel.

I currently love my 17" CP-035's but they are ONLY good for Auto-X not for drag racing or daily driving (Very rough riding with the 45 profile tires).

I'll send you and email when I get home from work.

I'm a little confused about one thing, how do you put 205 width tires on a 7.5" rim? You sure they aren't 7" rims?

I thought the general rule was
6.5" = 205
7" = 215
7.5" = 225

The actual rim width is 7.5" but you might be right. When I bought them, the guy said they were 7s.

I just did some research and I can get 15x6.5" - 15x7" for around $315 to $330 without tires brand new.

When you said $500 you didn't mean for all 4 did you?

Are they forged? These are practically new. If you are around Englishtown we can meet at an event.

Yup they are all forged, Unless they are the "EVO" series they are forged.

Here are some links:
http://www.geocities.com/daranthach/html/wheel.htm
http://www.import-store.com/rhcp035.htm

Unfortunately I live in the South so I don't think I could meet you at E-Town.

I bought my 17x7.5" rims about a year ago and they were $500 per rim. (No tires) Tires ran me another $160 per wheel.

Sorry man that's too much for me, your tires go for $77 a piece on TireRack.com.

Rim: $315
+
Shipping per rim: $16
+
Tire: $77
+
Shipping per Tire: $7.5
= $415.50

The only additional cost I would have would be mounting and balance which is $5-7 a wheel at Sears or any local tire shop.

I can understand though if you paid more than the prices and I'm quoting and are trying to recoup your costs.

I'm selling 2 here. Unless you mean $315 for both.

Only if I kept my 18" 3 piece Type C5s... it would look SWEET on my TL-S.

Oh my bad... I thought you were quoting prices for a SINGLE rim.

Hahaha... need to be more specific next time... or I need to read more carefully. Doh, yea you did say a "pair" of rims which would imply two rims.

Sorry for the confusion!

So what are you going to do with the other two rims or did you only buy two of them to begin with?

Sorry for the confusion... I'm parting out like 20 parts and it's confusing responding to these inquiries.

I bought 2 for dragging purposes.

Does anyone know if 15" can clear TL-S rotors? I should just try it but I'm digging the stock setup (for now).
