Comptech Headers owned me this weekend..

ok, I got to pick the car up @8pm on Friday night. I let the car warm up and I didn't get on it until I got to the beltway.

I opened it up, and man what a HUGE difference the headers make! It makes the car feel lighter, because VTEC range FINALLY sounds the way that it should.

I believe that the headers are a must, and I think the car should have came this way.

Its awesome, absolutely awesome.

If you are considering purchasing, take the plunge, its worth it. Its an awesome combination with the intake.

My Tach, and my speedo, (when in vtec) seem to shoot up much faster than before.

BTW, I paid $800 installed, and it was worth every penny.

Adding this mod has assured me that I won't be tired of this car anytime soon!

Yah, I'm not sure I could have done it for $1300.

They are an amazing mod and an amazing improvement!

Where did you get them installed for that price? Local shop where you live?

If I could do it for that price I would have them installed tomorrow!!

The headers were used, off of a former board member who's selling his Type S.

I paid $500 for those.

The install was $300 at a local performance shop called Vertex.

I didn't mind paying $300 cuz the headers are a pain in the ass to put on.

They ROCK!

If you want serious performance out of this car, then this is the first step!!! You won't regret it!

Another Header convert Spread the word. I also noticed the tach needle fly even faster after the headers.

RE: "convert"

You know, it's not like there are people here who think headers aren't beneficial - the only problem some of us have with the Comptech headers is the price. Every one of us would have a set of headers on their TypeS if the price was right (and assuming we all wanted the best performance possible out of our cars.)

So don't bother with the convert nonsense, we all know the value of headers. It's just that the value is different for each of us.

For $800 installed, definitely.
For $1300, there are lots of other things I would rather get with this kind of money.
I really want a mod that affects the 1000-5000 rpm range, which is were I am 95% of the time. WHERE IS THAT RES????????

I know what you're saying.

The RES, plus the headers would be an awesome AWESOME powerband, from off the line, to the top of Vtec!

For the prices of new Headers you can get yourself a full custom kit!!! personally I'd rather kit my car out then either wait for a different brand to come out (warpspeed/greddy/other) or just wait even longer for RES and MM2

Don't get the headers... Don't get the headers... Don't get the headers...

Keep repeating this over-and-over...

For $1300, you can buy a small engine and put it in the back of the car

I don't have to explain anything to you, you're just cheap and need to justify it. Don't get headers and keep telling everyone they're not worth it, you'll feel better.
