me and a couple of friends having fun... off the light...although the subaru(CAI) and the IS(5SPD stock) had the launch on me.. still beat em.after end of 2nd gear.. =) hehe.. feel sorrie for the IS buyers... paying soo much money for a "slow" car... good thing i chose the CLS..
another race with a friends SIR(Cai).. gave em a 2 car length lead.. from a light also.. beat em mid 3rd gear...hehehe.....
but i like how the subarus can launch from 4000-5000 .. its sick...

People on this board who don't know me and think I am bashing CL's are wrong! My previous car was a 98 Accord V6 Coupe that I really loved. I used to drag with the guys from Honda with the Accord AC-R, and I was the first to post the parts list for that car, so if you ever need some advice with power adders or transmission safety, just send me some questions!

HAHAH... listen KID .. when did I say I bought the CLS for the performance?.. I simply stated that it is FASTER stock vs stock against an IS and you cant say SH1t about that.... and fyi... a base IS300 costs less than a CL... its when you pay extra money for sh1t that the CLS comes equipped with, such as leather, moonroof, 17inch wheels, etc..then and ONLY then the IS is worth more..

But the sad thing is... its still slower ... thats what im trying to prove.....im not saying that the IS is an ugly p.o.s car..its not.. its a good looking car...but unless you have a turbo put in it..dont bother trying to race a CLS just because your car has a "LEXUS" badge on it..stick to being all show and no GO... like MANY OTHERS have said on this forum... it aint worth the price...

Im also not suggesting that the CLS is the FASTEST car on the street.. of course not.. there are faster cheaper cars out there...like STANGS and some other domestics. . but they got bigger engines and RWD...so they better be faster.. haha.. and theyre designed for performance..unlike the CLS which combines a little of both worlds.. luxury and performance.

i raced a kid out at desoto..1/4 mile...just bolt ons gave me good run after run...i was getting 14.6-7's he 14.9-15.0 now his was a manual the temps and conditions were terrible as im capable of 14.3 but that would just mean he's cacapble of 14.6 the pics should have been fliped ...but this TEG btw all engine consistantly beat me running 14.49 and the like and if you doubt my car i have one of the fastest 1/8th mile times at 9.433 ...mike has gotten 9.3** and one other guy with the 6mt i think got a 9.300 my time was before my pulleys since my pulleys ive managed a 9.46* in 90* weather

To make a long boring story short, 1sicklex is just biased because he owns a gs 400 which has absolutely nothing to do with a gs 300 or Is 300. I remember him saying he also has a tl. However he says it's "SHITTY." Whatever... 1sicklex, you said it yourself... why compare the tl and the gs 300 if they're not in the same class??? If thats the case, the Is 300 is WAY outclassed by the cl-s. AND THAT'S REAL!!! Both in performance and luxury. End of discussion.....

Uhhhhh, you just named 2 reasons why the IS 300 interior is different and very stylish. The Alacantra suede annd leather combo and the Chronograph gauges. The CL interior is very nice but is not much different than any other car out there.

The IS is slower than the CL-S but way more stylish, then you can get so many body kits to make your IS look different. Quite frankly, styling and handling are 2 or it's selling points.

I think every auto magazine as stated the Cl-S is pretty bland in styling, though that is not the cars fault. Honda is a very traditional car company and the board dictates how the cars will look. All Hondas and Acuras are supposed to look similar believe it or not. In the case of the Accord, it works well, in the case of a luxo coupe, the sales results have been less than satisfying.

 

I rather have an IS300 than a CL-S.

You guys need to chill out. 1SickLex just reminded that us not to make fun of more expensive yet slower cars. You wouldn't want to hear the same thing from a WRX owner, would you? I know I wouldn't.
Personally, I dont like the IS300. I considered it before I even noticed the CL-S. I saw it online, liked it, went to a Lex dealer and got turned off. The IS looks too weird for me but it's just me. Someone else may find it attractive. The thing is you've got to learn to appreciate someone else's car based on his/her point of view, not yours. I would get offended if someone says my car is ugly (watch your words, 1SickLex :P) so I don't tell someone that his/her car is ugly (unless he/she owns an Aztec or a G35 ). So .. chill out and enjoy the cars

 

no..it is not a turbo engine..and it has only about 150HP...plus AWD..cls and is 300 can beat is easily..but not a wrx...:o
