This is what I'm thinking. I hope a few hundred units are ready for the release. In November

Nothing causes misery like waiting in line for a nice product, other than a thread about it.

syncivic, yes, I'm interested. thank you.

I'm thinking it might be Throttle Body.

Sorry to flame but the maturity level of this place is going down the tubes lately. Just relax, see what he has to offer. If it's nothing than you have nothing to worry about. If it has some real merit than great, I'm all for it.

I think a more interesting way to look at this is how can one generate 20ft/lb of torque and only 15 hp? How can you put in a mod in our engine that makes more torque than HP? Any ideas or have we chased away all of the people with technical expertise that got sick of dealing with this kind of BS?

The new RSX and Civic can be modified.

Acura engineers did the ECU just enough for speed but good gas mileage too. They could have kept going but you would lose gas mileage. You personally could sit it on a dyno for hours with a laptop and make run after run and write it the best way it fits your needs. I'm not at too much will to say...but...I hope you get my drift.

Good Morning....

You have all made some valid points to my method of delivery. I am in the Patent process to protect the investment laid out thus far...this is the primary reason that a description is NOT forth coming and that the company wants a SEMA debut.

By then, we will have 1000 pieces for the J32A2 series ready to ship and hopefully as many for the J32A1 if the dyno runs are as promising.

I hope that RAdams will post my Dyno runs early before the skeptics remaining pick my bones clean (I actually like some of the creativity used, esp the BS flag).

Some other facts...

Its not an ECU or Software upgrade ( I wish that could be accomplished for $299!!!)

It should not affect your warranty.

It should be CARB approved...working on that process.

It will look trick.

The RSX is flash programable, although its encryption would be a bitch...reminds me of the MATRIX movie.

We are 2/3's done in our effort to kit form a turbocharged variant of the RSX type S.

Our asymetrically turbocharged J32A2 project has proved an engineering nightmare in turbo sizing (exhaust pressure ratio vs. response vs. compressor map efficiency)

I would love to get some track time on these mods but the dyno work comes first. The track time also needs lots of consistent baseline work to nail the 60' times, then mod the car (minutes) and measure the differences. The problem is that I must rent the track $1200.00 to get that kind of time.

It is this lack of consistency that makes me ignore so many postings on 1/4 mile times. We call it backing it up (the time)...then its legitamate.

Have to go for now, I have a business to run.
I will trust that Ron will have the Dyno's posted and then I can get some true feedback from my future clients.

Have a great day.

Sorry for the delay in getting the dyno graph posted this morning.. I walked in at 8:30 and was summoned directly into a meeting.

The server I was going to host the pic on is down, so here's a link to acura-tl.com where I uploaded the pic directly:
http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...threadid=20130

Read the notes in my post to decypher the runs.

Sweet... thanks for posting the pic here.

So you don't have to follow the link:

red hp line and purple torque line are for a bone stock 2002 TL-S. Blue hp line and light blue torque line are for the same TL-S with the mod installed. Green hp line and black torque line are for the same TL-S, again with the mod installed, plus a CAI.

According to the dyno, it's about 220 peak hp. However, the best part is the HUGE increase in hp and torque that this nets you in the midrange. Look at the gap between the stock and modded torque plots!

Will our transmission be able to handle it? It's already shitty. But this offer is too good to pass up, if it is true. Intelligent people are naturally sceptical, and it seems that there are many intelligent people here.

I don't think our trannies can even handle the 260 HP we already have in the long-run, sooner or later they're going to take a shit.

That's a strong pulling TLS to begin with. It's putting about 205+ HP down whereas the best pulls from our dyno archives are about 198HP.

Do you all think these are 299$ headers? Seems to have very similar characterisitics.
If not, and if this thing can work in conjunction with headers, we're looking at putting down a full 260HP to the wheels.

I dont think its headers. For $399 even if it was ceramic the price is way too low.

It looks also that headers will push higher Hp *after* 5500 rpms, so in this dynoed TL-S with the new mod. Headers still have a chance to improve with their 25-32 HP.

Can we say a 245-250 FWHP is possible?

Feel free to visit their website www.theracersgroup.com or call Mark or Tony at (707) 935-3999.

I'm looking forward to meeting you. . . I could use all the additional hp I can get!
