$$ advice on Repainting the front.

My wife just got an MDX and the first thing we're gonna do is get the 3M Clear Bra installed this weekend, which is the first thing i wish i had done before i drove my CL-S off the lot. So my question is what do you guys think it would cost to smooth and repaint my front bumper and hood ? I can't stand all the little chips and the rest of the car is near perfect. Thanks.

If there is no dents or any body work needed, it should cost about 250-300 per panel, which is about 500-600 for a very good job...this is taking into account that they need to take off your bumper your foglights and other small things...

No dents, just lots of little chips all over the bumper and lower hood where the Clear Bra would go. I wonder how long the paint would have to cure before i could put the Clear Bra on ?

i would say $250-500. use a reputable shop.

btw, i would wait at least 2 weeks before clear bra installation.

after my CL-S got hit in a parking lot a few months ago, the best quote i could get to completely repaint and resurfact the bumper was just under 350...so you want the hood done too, id say about 500 for that....i still havent gotten it done, i just bought the OEM bra instead to cover it up!!

That's what i figured. I hope not much longer, i wouldn't want to get repainted and have to drive it a month before the Clear Bra went on !! For 2 weeks, i'd try to park it

I had my front bumper repainted, (dealer screw up) and I waited 1 week before putting the 3M bra on. They told me I should wait at least 3 days.

You should actually look into this company to put the bra on. They have the best products in the US. Check the site out...

only problem about painting the bumper and hood is that the glare is always off from the rest of the paint work...when i get my rear bumper repainted, i want that shit to look wett...so therefore ill probably have to fork out 450 dollars for the paint job...most good body shops use the same program for figuring estimates...Shyne

Well, I went in for the estimate on the left fender and hood to have them repainted at the cost of the shmuck who sat on it, and the estimate was a little over $680. This was at a shop that my dealer sent me to. I'm gonna go to another place and get an estimate this weekend.
