Alignment/Camber Install Shops in Walnut/Rowland Heights Area

Hey guys

I'm looking for a place where I can get my alignment and camber kit installed for a good price.

How much should I be looking at to get both of these done?

I already have the ingalls camber kit.

Please let me know any nearby shops in walnut/rowland heights/temple city area that will do it for cheap.

I was quoted $250 by a shop which I think is ridiculous.

Thanks

I'm lowering on Tein Basics. I want to do about 1 finger gap in the front and a little more than 1 finger in the rear.

Can someone tell me what the specs of the alignment should be also?

theres a diy on tsx club on how to install the camber kit, looks pretty easy. and an alignment should run you around 65$

make sure you wait for suspension to settles before getting an alignment

I went to Bear Frame & Wheel in Glendora...I like the mechanics there! I too have the Ingalls kit, and they said it was great!

Oh...I just re-read your question. I installed the kit myself, and only took it to them for alignment. Try giving them a call and see what they quote you.

This wont help, but I just went for a four wheel alignment today, corrected my toe angle and specs for $110.

hey Jon... You should wait until your coilovers settle before doing the alignment. And yes, install them yourself and then bring it in for an alignment. I went to Firestone near Puente Hills Mall and they charged me $70 for an alignment.

So, install coilovers --> let them settle --> install camber kit yourself --> get alignment.

I dont plan on getting an alignment...ive been dropped for a week or two on used coilovers...i dont feel any difference in handling or driving, and the wheel stays straight if i take my hands off (did it just to see if it would pull either way), should i still get an alignment?

Hey ken what are you lowered on and to be sure the firestone near puente hills mall works with lowered vehicles correct? so that would still be $70 if my car is lowered?

While your post (hi-jack ) is off topic...YES...you still need an alignment. I'm sure your camber and toe is off, even though your car tracks straight. You will definitely have premature tire wear if you don't.

I don't remember off the top of my head. I believe it was around $75-$80 for a four-wheel alignment. The main reason I went to them, is because my car is too low to go up on a rack. At Bear Frame & Wheel, the rack is at ground level, and they work from a trench below.

The ingall's camber kit should have installation instructions. It's pretty straightforward.

I'm lowered on TEIN CST's and yes, they'll work with lowered cars. I went to Sear's and American Tires by the Puente Hills mall and they both told me they couldn't do it because i was lowered.

That place that etarui mentioned sounds good too though, if you're too low to get on the firestone ramp, then definitely go to them.

Alright Thanks Ken!

As for the alignment, how should I ask them to align it?

Should I tell them to align it as close as possible to the factory specs?

I believe I read somewhere that people said to tell them to adjust the rear camber to 0.

Let me know what you did Ken thanks!

The Ingalls camber kit is easy to install.

I went to Discount Tires Center lifetime alignment FTW. I go often every 4-5K miles or so. Got my $$$ worth.

alright cool thanks. i was wondering why some people wanted to align it to camber of 0 instead of the -1 which is factory.

I lifted the rear of the car, placed on jacks, and removed the rear tires to gain access to the control arms I need to remove and replace with Ingalls. I used a socket wrench and a mallet.

Lifetime alignment costs vary depending on shop. Call around. Some shops don't offer it, while others do. I was quoted $199 by the local Firestone.
