Heel and Toe downshifting video

Found this video via a local autocross mailing list. It's got some good in-car camera shots showing some heel and toe downshifting. Good how-to for those wondering what it's all about.

That was cool. Poor guy got stuck in the Porsche: "it has a nice interior".

Still, that's part of my reason I want to haev a project car. Get an older used 350Z, do a custom ECU and turbo setup, wider wheels (the stocks were really slowing it down) and book.

Although, that's when I have a job and money.

OR, I'll just buy a used sport bike and pray I don't wreck.

That video was fucking awesome!

The battle at the end feels like something straight out of Initial D.

Ah...Best Motoring. I like these videos. In fact, that was how I learned the heel-toe technique. But back in 98, there was no English version of Best Motoring videos.

It's still up as far as I know. Just tried it again, seems OK. Keep in mind the file is huge and it could take a while to d/l. I probably should have mentioned that. It's worth the wait, though...

The last race in the bonus footage was the best part. Some crazy driving!

try this websit guys, they have tons of best moroting and some others too.
Without the premium membership, the download is painfully slow, but if you spend a little, it'll fly.

Just goes to show you that HP numbers don't tell the whole story. Other than the overpriced Boxter the others were very close but by the numbers (and badge) you would have thought the M3 should have won by a mile.
Look for a revised GT-R in late 06 in the US.
While perhaps worthwhile technique for the track, totally un-necessary for the street.
