, and the car is not flood damaged....

(but considering that the motor probabaly stopped running; the water just came up the exhaust pipe); OR you basically HYDROLOCKED the motor, and probably just F@CKED it

either way to TRY and get it running again if no damaged has occured, is pull ALL the plugs out, and crank it, to clear out the cylinders, then toss them back in (might not hurt to toss in some new ones either, since they are out already), also don't forget to change the oil also, since water is probably mixed in there also (along with all the other fluids too)

remove your throttle body and use a wet-vac to get any sitting water out. Spray carb or brake cleaner all over the inside and let it dry out. Repeat until it looks dry. Pull your plugs, try to start the car for like 15 seconds with the plugs out, then spray some cleaner in there as well. Install new plugs. Change the oil and filter.

see if it runs. if it does and there's no weird noises or smoke you're probably good. if it runs without noises but smokes you blew your head gasket due to higher cylinder pressures caused by the water. If no noise or smoke, remove radiator cap and double check no bubbles coming out while running.

You could also have easily bent a rod or damaged other engine internals. I would seriously consider taking this to a reputable mechanic.
