Want to buy Helm's Manual - two versions, which one?

There's two different manuals listed on their website:

2004 TSX Service Manual
Price: $69.00 In Stock
(English, Paper, 61SEA00)

2004-2005 TSX Service Manual (KA)
Price: $69.00 In Stock
(English, Paper, 61SEA01)

Anyone know what the difference is? Thanks!

Yeah, the 2004-2005 would include the differences for the XM system, heated mirrors, etc.

I have the 2004 version b/c I have a 2004 model, so the 2005 may not help you any.

I have the 04-05 version because I have a Canadian 2004, which has the heated seats and mirrors. Since the US TSX didnt get these until 2005, I went with the 2005 manual.

Specs for basically everything else are the same. Go with the 04-05 one because it's easier to sell later anyhow (you have two model years to market it to).

Since they are the same price, I would get the 04-05 version as well.

Just so other Canadian members would be correctly informed, the 2004 manual does include heated mirrors for the Canadian model. It even includes wiring diagram for DRL that the Canadian TSX's have.

Thanks for clearing that up. I got the 04/05 manual because i didn't know the 04 manual had CDN-specific points in it. But now I know.

Is this the best manual to have if I'm venturing to install an upgraded audio system? Does it have info such as how to remove panels, covers, trays, carpets, etc?

Is there another choice?

Thanks

You can basically use this manual to dissassemble and reassemble a car, one bolt or clip at a time, so yeah, its good.

im looking forward to doing the following on my own:

changing brake pads and rotors (for half acuras cost)
header
ecu reflash (just removing it of course)
fixing the speaker rattle (myself this time since acura's fix didnt work)

there will likely be more but it will be nice to be self-sufficient

I always look at it this way: If the service manual saves you just ONE hour of shop labour, it has already paid for itself.

what about the one on "Electrical" (EM) ?
I see tons of electrical info in the SM,

I think the Electrical one has every circuit diagram and every resistance and every wire location in the entire car. Probably only useful if you are diagnosing a major electrical gremlin, or, disassembling your car completely.

I'll just revive this thread rather than start a new one...

So is the Helm's Manual *the* service manual? There's a maybe/maybe not oil leak (as I'm 2.5hrs from Acura, I crawled under my car while talking to the Svc Mgr this morning who thinks Honda, who does my oil changes since they're near, just made a mess; Honda thinks there's a leak from my timing cover area... tomorrow back to Honda to have them clean things up and go from there... joy!).

Anyway, it's been driving me nuts that I don't know where anything is under there and my dad's probably rolling in his grave that I don't. :P (he worked on cars, so had manuals for everything...) Helm's site has the 04-07 for $56.50 right now, which is cheaper than I've ever seen the Acura manual (I have an '07).

Is this the one I want to get? Even if I don't necessarily crawl in there with tools, I want to be able to know what is going on and where! (the manual was quite useful on my last car, for which my dad had bought the big manual, also an interesting read...).

2004-2007 TSX Service Manual (KA)
Price: $56.50 In Stock
Pkg Qty: 1
(English, Paper, 61SEA03)

Yes, the Helm's is basically *the* service manual. Online / electronic versions SUCK in comparison to a thick paper one from Helm. I have the 2004-2005 one and its very comprehensive.

I'm looking to buy a service manual for my '04. Just curious if anybody knows the difference between the two below:

2004-2007 TSX Service Manual (KA)
Price: $56.50 In Stock
Pkg Qty: 1
(English, Paper, 61SEA03)

2004-08 TSX Service Manual (KA)
Price: $170.00 In Stock
Pkg Qty: 1
(English, Paper, 61SEA04)

Other than price and that the more expensive one covers the '08 model year...any reason I should buy the $170 one over the $57 one?

I know this is probably a dumb question.

Update:
Dear handyracing1,

Hello handyracing1, thanks for your inquiry. The (KA) indicates the language - being English.

Thank you,
