VSA Light Stays On

This happened twice last week a day apart...

I am driving at around 45 on a flat DRY road and I feel I slight jolt. I look at the guages and my VSA light is on. It does not turn off until I get to my destination and restart the car. It has been a week and hasn't happened since. Anyone else experience this?

Haven't heard that one yet. If everything is fine now don't worry about it too much but next time you have the car in for service tell them about it and ask if it threw any error codes in the computer.

Similar, but my check engine light didnt come on. I called the dealer and they said it happens sometimes and they doubt the computer would show anything. Weird stuff.

I wonder if the car's computer is based on Windows as well (like the NAVI). I read on Honda Research online that they use C and UNIX for programming.

DOWN WITH MICROSOFT!!!

Well my car just did it again. A slight jolt and the VSA light and "!" light too. So I restarted the engine, light was still on. Made an appointment at the dealer on Monday. On the rest of the drive, the car felt kinda weird but I cant put my finger on it.

Is there a pronounced road noise from the rear end that is constant?

Brought my car to the dealer this morning. They say that they need to replace my yaw sensor to fix my VSA problem.

hmm, now that i think of it i dont think ive seen that light come on. i mean i was playing in a parking lot when the sprinklers had been on so there was a nice ammount of water but the tires wouldnt spin too much when i would start taking some hard turns. maybe i didnt notice it. can you feel the brakes come on? or does it just cut gas to the engine like the revlimiter does? hmmm ill check the rest of the forum now cuz im curious to this thing i never really paid attention to it.

I now have this problem. It initailly happened last week and went away after restarting the car. It then happened twice yesterday, but it went away both times after shutting off the car. It was fine this morning on the way to work. Made an appointment at the dealer for Saturday morning.

Anyone else's dealer have a 2 week waited period for a loaner?

The light came on and stayed on once for me, but not after the car was turned off and on again. VSA engaged when I gave too much gas coming out of a rocky driveway and the light stuck on

There was no agressive driving going on. In fact yesterday, it came on when I was approaching a Stop, so I was slowing down. Probly something to do with the ABS. The ABS light has never come on though.

The JD Power guys are going to have a feild day when I send my survey in.

Is there any possible chance that the dealer could turn this around and somehow blame my Injen on this problem? Sounds unlikely but I'd just like to be prepared.

I don't see how they can blame your injen domn. I had the same thing happen to me the other day as well. I was slowing down for a red light when it turned green. I then went ahead and accelerated and when I looked at the dash, I noticed that both the VSA light and the "!" light was on. I was very close to home so I just drove the speed limit home watching the car carefully. I did not feel any type of jolt or anything. Once I got home, I restarted the car and the lights did not come on again. This has been a week ago, and I have not seen it happen again.

I'm going to schedule a time to take my car in next week for a long list of things that need to be looked at:

- Driver side seat shifts forward and backward when accelerating and braking (3rd time I have complained about this)
- Driver side seat shifts from side to side when cornering or turning at a 90 degree angle (2nd time I have complained about this)
- Windshield wipers need to be replaced (I know I can do it myself, but they're fairly cheap from the dealership)
- The VSA light problem listed above
- The TSB regarding the buzzing in the doors
- 30k miles maintenance

It is going to be a fun trip to the dealership!

BTW, I have done NO engine mods to my car, or any other kind of mods other than tinting the windows.

Update: Dealer says its the brake switch causing the problem. Going back Saturday to have it replaced.

My TSX is at the dealer right now and this is one of the things they are looking at. I haven't heard from them yet but will let you all know when I hear something.

Just heard from the dealer...the VSA thing is a brake switch gone bad. They have to order more parts that will be in tomorrow to fix the buzzing in the doors. So I get to enjoy the TL on loan for another day. Weeeeeeeeee.
