VSA and Check emissions light

Recently while I was driving the VSA check light and the emissions check light went on. The car also jerked forward as if about to stall. It is a 2006 automatic TSX. Now there is no power when the accelerator is stepped on the car will not rev up at all. The car also pops as if to stall when gears are changed. If the car is turned of for a couple seconds then turned on again, everything is fine for about 3 min of driving before the above occurs again. I have not taken it to the dealer as of yet, but will. In the meantime..... any idea's on what the problem may be?

If you have a scan gauge tool or some other obd2 scanner I would suggest getting the codes.

Or try your local autozone or oreilys to see if they can get the codes for you.

I have no clue what to suggest at this point, I just know those codes would give you (us) a direction to run with it.

Yeah, sounds like the car is in limp mode. Like Moose Muscles said, the code(s) from the check engine light should give a direction of where to start troubleshooting.

Good suggestions, but really kind of moot, don't you think? The car needs to go to a dealer or other shop ASAP since it sounds like it's basically undriveable.
