i was driving with my ipod plugged in and suddenly heard a loud static from the sterio. it came and went a few times thought it was the ipod. like a loud sterio / speakers static krackling sound. then heard the same from FM radio, and then i hear it when whole system was off!!!! (completly stock) didnt sound like a mechanical sound but i could swear it comming from the speakers

also wierd thing today, when i turned on the AC while on highway it suddenly started blowing white smoke from the vents for a few seconds, i shut it off then on and it was fine....

car only has 5k miles what the heck could this be?

i dont know, maybe, if thats what cell phone interfearence sounds like.

 

Did it pulse, kind of like tick-tick-tick-tick sound? That's generally how cell interference sounds, but I can't say I've ever heard it in my car.

 

If you put your cell phone in the "Not an Ashtray" then you will hear it. When it gets close to the amp/wiring then the sound system will pick up the interference. At least, my 04 does it.

 

This is a common phenomenon associated with GSM cell phone service. I'm guessing you have AT&T or TMobile?

 

This could mean that your heater core is going bad. I'd get it checked with your dealership.

and about the phone ye it is a ATT and never had that with my old verizon! and i put it in that compartment right below the radio. guess thats what it is. thanx a lot guys.

 

The white condensation from the vent is just because of your A/C blowing cold air into the hot cabin at full blast.
