Alright, check this out:

Left Tweeter (works fine): MAGNET



Right Tweeter (not functional): NO MAGNET



Has anyone else had this problem? It doesn't look like aftermarket tweeters will fit into this housing, which is fine, but now I have to pay stealership prices to find a new one.

 

There is a guy parting out the interior of a crashed TSX on the other forum/site. I'm sure you could buy it off them for cheap, since there really isn't much value to them. Worst case if that guy isn't selling it at a good price, I'll give you mine for shipping costs only. Only reason I would offer as an alternate is because I'm in Canada and the part-out is in the USA.

 

Tweeter is only $13 at the dealership at my friend's price. This happened to mine too.

Also, anyone who is parting out the interior - I am interested. Acura dealerships around my house are asking 67 bucks (it seems to be a genuine Pioneer tweeter) and I can get it online NEW from dealers for 50 bucks.

I'd pay 25 for a used one! PM me if you have one you are willing to sell.

 

I did a pretty extensive search for people parting out their TSX interiors, and came up empty. Does anyone know who specifically I should PM?

It's a dealership here in S.Fla...
It was a friend of mine that left the dealership recently. He gave me his price which is cost = 10% markup. Which was a whopping $13!
