TSX paint question

Hey guys, I know there has been alot of discussion about how thin the TSX paint is.
This morning when I washed my car, I noticed there's a spot on the hood that looks like a lbisd s#!t left over. I tried to clean it but it wouldn't come off. I take a close look and there it was, the paint within that spot area has tiny hair line cracks. I took a picture of it thru my phone but this damn Sprint vision is not working.... I'll post them once I get home....

My question is.... does this cover under warranty? or am I SOL?

Any input is appreciated....

I have the same problem

I have they same problem. It is very frustrating. After 15000 miles, my Milano Red 04 is looking worse then my 98 titanium silver M3 with 60000 miles . I spoke to the service director at my dealer an he looked at the car for 10 seconds and said it was not a defect. .I have a call into customer relations and I am waiting for a "case specialist" to call me back. I don't think anything will come of it though.

Screw the service people.
They could have taken care of it by re-detailing the car.

I found out from my friend that all I have to do is buff the car.
It is a 3M product.

I will tell you the exact product names when I have the chance.

1 is a 3M rubbing compound and the other is a high glaze. They're about $20 each. ITs worth the money.....

It works like miracle. I didn't have a chance to take a before and after picture.

So, don't loose hope.

I had clearcoat chipping off and it required the Regional Service Manager to inspect it, but it was covered.

If you're talking about a chip from a rock, you are SOL.

At 15K I found about 100 tiny chips in my brand new 2005 Black Pearl hood, bumper, mirrors, etc. The chips exposed the primer. Drove less than 200 miles before installing nose guard. Almost had a stroke! Sent fax to Acura Hq in CA. Received call from local dealer a couple of days later. Took car in, they had it five days, repainted hood, bumper, fenders, mirrors. Looks great, I just hope the paint is thicker this time. Acura couldn't have been nicer!

Well, if it helps your case any...

I also have a Milano Red TSX...with a fresh paint job on the hood courtesy Acura Canada & Dilawari Acura in Regina, Saskatchewan. There were a ton of small chips all over the front 1/3-rd of the hood and the paint starting to discolor around the chips (not rust...but actually discolor). The service manager put a call into the district manager and they made the call to re-paint the hood.

Now, keep in mind that this is the 2nd car I've purchased from them have been dealing with the same people for 4 years (I've also purchased another vehicle from the Honda dealership, which is run by the same owner). So, unless you're a long-time customer, they might not do anything.
