For those of you with a Grinding Power Seat

As some of you may know, I had a hell of a problem with my drivers seat grinding severely on my car when moving it back and forth. I think their might be a few more of you out there experiencing the same problem. Well Acura ordered a new seat track for me after attempts to luibricate the track failed.

I had it installed today and the seat is now as smooth as silk as it should be. So for those with this problem, get Acura to change the track and all should be ok.

Thanks, Dom -- very helpful. I was actually the first person who posted about this on the old site. I haven't had this taken care of, but I will.

Same here, I had the grinding problem, and the loose seat.
Grinding problem solved, loose seat: better, but not completely solved.

Glad to hear that your problem was resolved... Were they able to recover the door lock? :P

Well the door lock is back in. They said they had ordered one but I had'nt asked them if they simply screwed on a new one or if they removed the door panel and found the old one. I suspect that they removed the door panel as it is'nt quite in the same position it once was. There a few mm's I can now see that have dust that I can clean whereas before it was unreachable. So as I suspected the panel will never go back on the same. Either way it was my stupitidy so I won't complain.

sometimes, when i take a turn, my seat makes a sound like it snaps out of place, but really doesn't. does this have to do with the grinding seat? cuz my seats don't grind

My seat does this too. I thought it was just a fact of life with the car. Looks like I will have to call Acura Sherway

My seat does this as well. If i turn right then left with no stopping my seat will slide laterally. I had it in for servicing the other day and they could not replicate the problem. They tightened the bolts and it was a little better for a few days. I think they have loosened again. Mention it to your dealer on your next servicing. See if they can fix it and let us know.

I had the track replaced months ago for the grinding feeling/noise.
