sunroof has popping/zapping sound on TILT

sunroof has popping/zapping sound on TILT
anyone have this diagnosed yet. sound is from left/right channel at end of tilt movement, sound is electrical POP, usually one, motor is in back near rear dome light, dealer says its just cables near the sunroof panel.

I have the same thing on mine...left side, only when it is opened for the first time, either tilt OR slide...hit the button and 'POP' as it starts to move. Sometimes there is a little grinding noise thrown in for good measure.
Of course, it has never done this when it is at the dealer. Ever.
It is NOT a healthy noise, so I want it to stop. I mean, something HAS to be wearing from that kind of friction (a grinding or even the pop means that there is some kind of interference of moving parts somewhere). Plus there is the fact that it didn't do it for the first 8 months/10k miles I had the car, only started recently.
Next time it goes in I'll ask them to look again, and report back. Then again, I've been trying to make an appt for 3 weeks and they refuse to call me back, so I might never get another service...

Looking at the '15 TLX
Have you ever lubricated the sunroof tracks and the sunroof gaskets? That might help.
I haven't experienced this in my '04 so I dunno. I just lubricated my tracks and the gaskets for the sunroof recently. When I was up there they were starting to look a bit dry.

this afternoon i took another look. i popped off the popup black spoiler after pushing the 2 black holders, and cleaned beneath the metal spring using goo-gone. there was some black tar like stuff that may be causing it. will monitor.

problem has started up again. anyone of the previous posters go to dealer yet ? can you ? my dealer needs to hear the problem to call the tech line, they just wont call.
hell, i can call dell and get a logic board the next day with a tech to install without even having the damn box near me...
