Hello all,

I have a 2007 TSX with 7k miles on it. I hardly use my sunroof, but I noticed tonight when I went to close it some strange sounds. When the sunroof (fully open position) was about to close completely, I heard almost like little popping type of sounds. The sunroof open and closes fine, but the noises are kind of concerning me. Can someone confirm if these are normal? Also, I believe that this issue is a common problem, but if I close my sunroof and leave the shade open, I get a rattling/creaking type of sound coming from the sunroof. However, if I proceed to close the shade after closing the sunroof, I don't hear the sound. Is there any type of solution to this issue OTHER than having to close the shade?

i posted about this sound several times. i think i found the culprit, there is this black tar like substance under the metal leaf-spring-like pieces holding the black plastic spoiler that flips up when the sunroof is open. getting that gunk out of there so far has quieted the problem.


i also have the shade creaks, but depends on temp. i have rear shelf rattle, and windows creaks as well.

 

a softer pop has returned. called the dealer to see if they have other complaints, said no, then asked if he could call the tech line t o see if they have heard of problem.fix, and he said the car has to be there with the problem happening. i cant reproduce sound everytime.

has anyone gone to dealer to get any ideas on how to fix yet ?

 

I will have to call my dealer, because I have the same problem as well.
