Right Rear Upper Arm/ Camber TSB
Right Rear Upper Arm/ Camber TSB
I took my 2004 TSX in today to have the Camber TSB performed. The TSB states to replace upper arm if the right rear camber is greater than -1.0. Right rear camber was -1.1 before and -1.3 after the arm was replaced. I don't understand what the new arm accomplished. Any experts out there???
Your right rear toe was out of spec., but not your camber. Anything between -1.0 and -1.5 degrees camber in the rear is within spec. The toe was the issue, so you really had no need to have the TSB performed, on an alignment.
That's what I was thinking. Acording to the TSB numbers I was a candidate for the new arm because my rr camber was greater than -1.0. Now with the new arm it is even further away from nominal specs. What a waste of time.
Notice how the rear left camber changed from -1.3 to -1.2 without any work done to the left upper control arm? Your original rear right camber was actually fine at -1.1 even without the control arm replacement. The camber setting will change slightly from a full tank of gas or a trunk full of stuffs. That's why there is an acceptable range which considers to be within spec. The front and rear toes were the problem areas.

I think they mean further from 0.
