Problem with TSX Sunroof??

All,

I've had my TSX a little over a month now. As the weather gets colder, I am noticing that my sunroof is making significant "creaking" noises when I go over bumps in the road...when I open the roof, they go away. I had a similiar problem with my 2000 Accord EX-V6....I took it to the dealer and they said that it needed some lubricant to keep the sunroof from making the "creaking" noises...that fixed the problem.

When I made an appointment with my Acura dealer, they said they have never heard of this problem with the TSX. Has anyone had a similiar experience with their sunroof???? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

yes yes yes. search this site and you will find threads on it. You need to lube it up just like your old accord. you can do it yourself, its pretty easy. Just use whatever tire or vynol product you have.

The TSX is notorious for it's creaking noises, as you may have read. Owners have them all over the car. Tell the dealer to try and make some seals, or tighten the area...or take them for a drive to let them hear it.

Rmatic who has had his creaks from his rearview mirror fixed..but is not confident that they are gone for good....

I only hear the noise when I have the shade open. If I close the shade, the the noise is no longer audible.

My suggestion is crank the radio up and bang em like you stole it. You gotta love the necks that break when you pull up next to people........ catch my drift??? I have learned to pick my battles!

I asked my dealer-Open Road Acura of Wayne to look at the sunroof during my first oil change. They drove my car twice and said couldn't hear anything.

Precision Acura in Princeton. They said they put two clips in the shade and that worked.
