No Crank 06 TSX, AcuraPartsWarehouse run-around
Intermittent No Crank on 2006 TSX with 140K miles. It always tries to crank-over but never seems to have enough power to turn the engine over past the compression, battery voltage never below 12.5v and 14.2v with engine running. Replaced battery, starter (re-manufactured unit from AdvanceAuto), replaced ignition switch, 3 ground cables to engine, negative battery cable, starter relay and disconnected hand-free controller suspecting a parasitic load. After I replaced the starter and battery it seemed OK for a few weeks and AdvanceAuto checked out Starter, alternator, battery all checked OK, but the next day, again no crank. I placed an order for a new OEM new starter with AcuraPartsWarehouse 6 weeks ago but after many calls and chats and promising early Dec shipping dates long past, still no shipping date as of Jan 2. Three weeks ago (3 weeks after my order was placed!!) after several calls, they requested an email to agree to not cancel or return my order by email and hit my papal. FedEx created a label on Dec 19th, but never received the parts. AcurapartsWarehouse won't cancel saying it shipped despite the fact that FedEx says they never got the parts. Who would you believe? Paypal won't work on it until Jan 22, the soonest.
Any ideas on what to do about my order? The car has been sitting for 6 weeks now.

UPDATE: Good news, 7 weeks after ordering my starter that never arrived AcuraPartsWarehouse returned my money after I filed both a PayPal dispute and BBB compliant. In addition, a new non-OEM starter from Advance Auto is working fine for 2 weeks now. I'd have preferred an OEM starter but the new starter from Advance Auto was in-stock and is a new one replacing the re-man starter I had previously got from them which was intermittent. I had to pay the difference in price between the re-man and new one but it was still less than 1/2 the price of an OEM.
I'd still like to get an OEM thermostat as the car is an '06 with 140K miles and the bolts holding it are rusting badly, but would like to find discount OEM supplier.

Well it's good you were able to come out cheaper on the starter since you spent all that $ on a battery, ignition, ground cables, etc.
Since your battery wasn't the prob, hopefully you didn't trade it in. If you still have it, it'd be smart to keep it on a float charger, so it'll stay good.
