Need help with my Navi in Hawaii.

Hi everyone I have an issue that I am really hoping to get some help with.

I have a 2006 TSX that I bought in the states last year. I recently moved to hawaii knowing that the xm/navi only work on the main land. So I get here and find out that version 4.62 now supports Hawaii. I bought a disk (for a premium price since they were backordered) and once it finally came I loaded it up, did the download and I am getting the same error (out of database range) that I got with the other disk. I have tried to disconnect the battery, unpulg the dvd reader in the trunk and just about every other imaginable thing possible. I contacted the dealership and the guy told me that there is a way to make the navi work in hawaii on the 2006, but only his shop foreman knows how to do it and he is going to be gone. Is there anyone who knows what I need to do to make the navi work? I have been dealing with this for a while now and any help would be much appriciated. Thanks!

I am on Oahu. Thanks for the Welcome. I have been waiting for him for a while now and I am becoming impatient.

i'm surprised that none of the other techs at Pflueger know how to do this. it should be mandatory for their techs to know this since the navi works in hawaii now.

I was originally told that the only option I had was to trade my 06 in for an 07 or an 08. I was not too happy about that.

sounds like the dealership is trying to scam you into trading yours in and buying a new one

That was the impression I got. May do it for the 2009 TSX but not before. Do you have anything special done to your vehicle?

No, but you don't have to get a new car to update the navi system. A new dvd will do that.

Hey, cut us some slack! We've sold about 3 TSXs with Navi and it is likely that only the three techs that did the PDI on those cars would know the procedure.

I'm not a tech but you need to enter the setup menu by pressing and holding three buttons (someone here must know). From this menu you'll be able to change the region to match Hawaii. This should enable the disc.
