my tsx got a problem

new owner here, i got a used 04 tsx
first thing is my car have engine light on, my cousin checked it, told me it was the oxygen sensor, so if anyone know how much that's going to cost me and will i be able to do it myself please let me know

second thing is my car have UNSTEADY rpm, when I'm in drive(not moving), neutral, park. it always jumpers around but always below 1000 rpm, i don't know if it because of the oxygen sensor or what else could it be, if anyone have the same problem or know the solutions to it please let me know, thank you

The unsteady idle could be the result of a bad O2 sensor. It could be making the engine run too rich or too lean. Either of which could cause a rough idle.

I've seen other threads about O2 sensors going bad, just search for them and they should be able to give you an idea about how tough it is and how much it'll cost to fix.

You need to verify which O2 sensor is bad (primary or secondary) using a scan tool. Then order it online for around $200. You can replace it yourself with a ratchet and an O2 sensor socket. Fix the known problem first. The other problem might go away as a result.

Also be sure to buy OEM. There have been a lot of issues with getting any aftermarket ones including Bosch.
